How Structured Math Solutions Started

Structured Math Solutions began around a small table, not a boardroom. Our founding team is a group of elementary teachers who kept running into the same problem year after year: small-group math time was the highest-leverage fifteen minutes of the day, and also the least supported. Whole-group curriculum came with slides, scripts, and pacing guides. Small-group time came with a sticky note, a leftover worksheet, and whatever a teacher could pull together the night before.

We started building our own routines — first for our own classrooms, then for the teachers down the hall who kept asking to borrow them. What began as a shared folder of lessons turned into a real question: what if small-group math had the same care and consistency as everything else in the room? What if every routine used the same visual models, the same I Do → We Do → You Do structure, and the same attention to accuracy — so a teacher could pick up any lesson, any grade, any skill, and know exactly how to run it?

That question became Structured Math Solutions. We are still, at heart, a group of educators building the resources we wished we'd had — tested at real small-group tables, refined after real lessons that didn't go as planned, and shaped by the honest feedback of the teachers who use them. Every routine, diagnostic, and system we publish carries that same goal forward: give teachers back their planning time, and give students the clear, consistent instruction that focused math time is supposed to provide.

What We Create

Structured Math Solutions builds print-ready math resources for elementary small-group instruction: daily routines, task cards, diagnostics, planning tools, and full instructional systems built around visual models and a predictable I Do → We Do → You Do structure.

Who We Serve

Elementary teachers running small-group math instruction — whether that's a guided math rotation, a targeted skills group, or focused practice time. Our resources are built for the classroom, not for diagnostic placement or clinical intervention.

Our Instructional Approach

Every resource follows the same six-stage cycle: Assess → Group → Plan → Teach → Check → Regroup. Lessons use explicit modeling, guided practice, and structured independent application, supported by visual math models appropriate to the skill and grade level.
